Kazakhstan blocks access to websites for fear of terrorism

Since last Friday, Kazakh authorities have blocked access to a number of popular websites. This followed a court ruling that the sites in question contributed to the dissemination of terrorism and religious extremism.

Russia-Belorussia-Kazakhstan: trade up by 41% (Poutine)

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Poutine announced that trade between Russia, Belorussia and Kazakhstan, which together constitute a customs union, had increased during the first half of 2011 by 41% compared to the same period the previous year.
